1. Start Here / Teacher Introduction
Begin with the story. The Mingles in Wilderland is meant to be enjoyed before it is analyzed. Read aloud, read independently, or combine the two. Use the resources on this page only when they help a student understand something, pursue a curiosity, or open a worthwhile discussion. You do not need to use every resource, and you do not need to stop the story every time a learning opportunity appears. Protect delight first; follow the educational trail when the story opens the door.
